1. Stay calm, put your safety first, then try to figure out a solution.

2. When you get a flat tire

• Slow down and steer your car towards the roadside or a designated emergency stopping lane.
• Don’t stop in the middle of the road and replace a new tire there.
• If you have no spare tire, turn on the hazard lights and call for rescue.

3. When your car engine dies

• Don’t panic. Check the brakes and steer the car to the roadside.
• Control your car to stop and try to shift to neutral gear and restart the engine.
• Regularly check fuel lines, fuel pump and generators.

4. When your car suddenly accelerates

• Press the brake pedal hard and keep steady pressure until the car halts.
• Shift into neutral gear.
• Turn off your car’s engine and pull the hand brake.
